Background:

After graduating as a Physical Therapist, my discovery of Oriental Medicine and Complementary Therapies started in 1988. For 2 years I received Acupuncture and Qi Gong training at the “Nei Jing School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine”, in Cali. I ran my own practice in Physical Therapy and Acupuncture for a couple of years in Colombia, S.A. and also worked for “Caminos” (Center for Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation).

I moved to Pennsylvania in 1992, where I worked for Home Care and Out-patient organizations and the Lehigh Valley Hospital Network as a health care provider in Acupuncture and Physical Rehabilitation, and also had my private Acupuncture Clinic.

I completed 4 years of additional education in Japanese, Chinese and Five Element Acupuncture styles at the “Eastern College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine” in Montclair, New Jersey.

My family and I moved to the Orlando area during the summer of 2003, with the dream of expanding our practices and looking for a warmer climate.  I graduated from the “Florida College of Integrative Medicine” with a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine.

 For 3 semesters, I was an instructor at The Florida College of Integrative Medicine in Orlando, as well as, a Supervising Physician for the College's Intern Walk-in Clinic.

I have received additional training in Neural Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Nutritional Therapeutics and Advanced Cranio-Sacral Therapy (Techniques for Adults, Pediatrics and Somato-Emotional Release) and consider them Powerful Adjunctive protocols in my Integrative Approach to Healing and Wellness.

I am a certified Qi Gong Instructor (SSQC), a member of FSOMA (Florida State Oriental Medicine Association) and the Toyohari Association of North America, a member of the American Cranio-Sacral Therapy Association, and a Teaching Assistant for the Upledger Institute's Cranio-Sacral Therapy courses.

At the present time I am enrolled in a 2 year program of Advanced Toyohari Acupuncture studies with the Toyohari Association of Japan (expected graduation on March 2008), an Advanced Prolotherapy curriculum and working on my Cranio-Sacral Therapy Technique Level Certification thru the Upledger Institute.

Special Interests:

Very gentle Japanese Acupuncture, Stress Reduction and Pain Management, Visceral Manipulation, Cranio-Sacral Therapy and Pediatric Acupuncture (Shonishin).
